Employee injured when struck by vehicle

At approximately 6:55 p.m. on June 8, 1996, Employee #1, a maintenance worker, was at an intersection in Portland, OR, procuring material for two coworkers on an aerial platform. A vehicle entered the intersection when the light was red and struck another vehicle entering the intersection. As the first vehicle continued into the intersection, a third vehicle struck it. The impact sent both vehicles into the rear of another vehicle. Employee #1 was hospitalized with lacerations to the hip.
