Investigation Summary
Employee #1 had changed a table saw blade from one that would cut wood to one that would cut aluminum. She stated that she only had 18 sills in which to cut channels, so the guard was left off the machine for this limited run. As she was pushing one of the metal door sills through the saw, her glove became caught on the blade, pulling her hand into the saw blade. Employee #1 was hospitalized for finger amputation.
