Investigation Summary
At 11:50 p.m. on May 23, 2017, an employee was driving a TUG MA50-42, Serial # 16557, tug to move cargo at the airport. The employee approached a gate and ran over a wheel causing him to lose control of the tug and the employee removed his seat belt in case the tug turned over so the employee would not be caught underneath it. The employee fell out of the tug and his leg was run over by the tug's front and back wheels. The employee was hospitalized and suffered a crushed leg knee.
