ELECTRIC SHOCK - CONTACT WITH OVERHEAD LINE THRU CONDUCTOR

A power line worker was pulling on a No. 6 AWG, 13.8-kilovolt copper overhead power line carrying about 3 to 4 amperes of current. He was going to lay the conductor down in the middle of a right-of-way. This power line contacted another, energized power line (No. 4 AWG, ACSR) located about 1 meter below. The employee was electrocuted. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
