Employee Killed In Fall From Roof

Employees had set up a ladder to check a roof for snow and ice accumulation prior to work. One employee climbed the ladder and observed too much snow. The employee came down and told Employee #1, who then climbed the ladder and stepped onto the roof where he slipped and fell 25 ft to 30 ft to the ground. Employee #1 was hospitalized until he died from his injuries on January 26, 2001.
