Investigation Summary
At 1:00 p.m. on April 12, 2017, an employee was retrieving portions of ham from the backside of a Brio vertical bandsaw. As he was talking with a coworker and not looking where she was placing her hand, her right hand came into contact with the saw blade. Her right index and middle fingers were amputated at their tips, which she was hospitalized and received treatment.
