Employee cuts abdomen when saw kicks back

At 4:30 p.m. on April 13, 2017, an employee was using a panel saw to cut a piece of wood. The hold down, which was used to secure the wood during cutting, did not have a good hold on the wood due to loose pieces on table. As a result, the saw kicked back during cutting and came into contact with his abdomen. The employee was hospitalized and received treatment for his injury.
