Employee Falls 16 Feet And Bruises His Hip And Back

At 2:30 p.m. on March 22, 2017, Employee #1, an installer, was working alone, in stalling a vinyl poster/sign to a billboard. The employee was working in very hi gh winds, and was not wearing or using any means of personal fall protection. Th e wind caught the poster/sign, pulling the employee from the cat walk, causing t he employee to fall approximately 16 feet. Employee #1 fell to the ground, strik ing his right hip on his drill, and bruising his hip and lower back. The employe e was hospitalized for his injuries.
