Employee's leg and foot injured in trench collapse

On May 4, 1993, Employee #1 was in a trench 11 feet deep when the soil bank collapsed, trapping his foot between sewer pipe and the soil bank wall. Employee #1 was rescued, but sustained serious injury to his right leg and foot.
