Employee killed when struck by slow moving haul wagon

At approximately 11:00 a.m. on July 7, 1993, Employee #1 was instructed to join a second group of farm laborers who were working alongside slow moving field equipment. The field equipment consisted of two flatbed haul wagons and a large tractor. Employee #1 attempted to reach the second group by crossing between the two haul wagons, which were being pulled at a speed of 2 mph. While stepping over the connecting bar, she tripped and her abdomen was run over by the left front wheel of the second wagon. Employee #1 was rushed to the hospital and died at 12:02 p.m. that day.
