Investigation Summary
At 3:45 p.m. on January 17, 2017, an employee was working from a scissor lift to tighten bolts, using a DeWalt electrical impact drill, on a steel beam. For an unknown reason, the employee became pinned between the upper guardrail system of the scissor lift and the steel beam. The employee was discovered by a coworker that came to his aid. However, the employee sustained fractures to his ribs, vertebra, and a punctured lung. He was hospitalized and received treatment for his injuries.
