Employee's Neck Is Burned When Contacting Power Line

On August 3, 2004, Employee #1 was working at a residence using an aerial device to remove debris from the gutters of a two story structure. He lowered himself to the ground and moved away from the building to avoid lowering the work basket on some plants at the edge of the structure. He backed himself against a 12,000 volt power line. The high voltage line was against his neck until the line burned through and broke. Employee #1 was hospitalized with severe electrical burns.
