Investigation Summary
At approximately 7:15 a.m. on November 3, 2003, an employee, a log scaler, was driving a Jeep Wrangler. As he approached the scale house, he ran into the right rear tire of a Le Tourneau Log Stacker that was backing away from the scale house. The log stacker, weighing 91,000 lbs., rolled over the car crushing the car and the employee. The employee was pronounced dead at the scene by the local fire department paramedics who responded to the scene.
