Investigation Summary
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on September 24, 1996, Employee #1 was working in the Dicor-Service department of Brown, Bunyan, Moon & More, Glendale, CA. He was cutting a flat 26 by 16 by 1/2 piece of wood by pushing it with both hands into a table saw. His left hand struck the running blade, amputating his fingers. He was hospitalized for three days at Glendale Memorial Hospital, and then released to recuperate at home. In a subsequent interview, Employee #1 stated that there was no guard on the saw blade at the time of the accident.
