Employee Injured in Fall

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on March 13, 2004, Employee #1 walked backward and pulled a 150lb. portable compactor from a parked truck on the street, to a 4 foot. deep trench in the back of the septic tank hole. While passing the tank hole (10 feet wide, 10 feet deep, and 13 feet long), the employee fell into the hole with the compactor. Employee #1 climbed out of the hole with a ladder. The employee was taken to the Saint Joseph Hospital and released after 4 hours. As a result of the accident, the employee sustained a 1 in. laceration below his right eye.
