Employee fractures pelvis in 12 ft fall

Employee #1 was preparing an area of a new apartment to accommodate a wall that he was going to frame. He was lining a sole plate with a chalk line by kicking it with his foot. Employee #1 tripped and fell 12 feet from the second story to the ground, sustaining a fractured pelvis. Another employee in the same area did not witness the accident.
