Employee is injured when he falls from a step ladder

On January 17, 2001, Employee #1, working on a residential home, was attempting to install a skylight approximately 10 ft above ground level. He was working with a sawzalls, Milwaukee Model 6511, and a nail gun. This work required him to use both hands while standing on a 6 ft step ladder. He was standing on the top rung of the ladder leaning to the left side when the ladder tipped over. He knocked the saw to the ground and then fell from the ladder. His head struck the exposed saw blade which penetrated his scalp. Employee #1 received lacerations to his scalp.
