Employee's finger amputated while operating table saw

At 4:40 p.m. on February 23, 1994, Employee #1 was attempting to cut a piece of plastic material on a portable table saw when he amputated his finger. He was taken to Foothill Medical Clinic and then to Cedar Sinai Hospital, where he was treated and released. Employee #1 was expected to be on sick leave for four to six weeks. He was performing his regular duties at the time of the accident.
