Employee injured after fallling from trailer

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on October 10, 2001, an employee of K. D. Cody Excavation was making a delivery of pallets to Head West, Inc. He was pulling a pallet with a pallet jack to the end of a 28-ft trailer for unloading. The employee backed the pallet falling backward off the edge approximately 4 ft to the floor. As a result the employee suffered a tear to the left patellar ligament. The employee was admitted to Harbor City Kaiser Permanente where he had surgery to repair the torn ligament and was released the following day.
