Employee's fingers amputated by bench saw

Employee #1, of Closet World in Whittier, CA, was assembling a closet inside his truck. The truck had all the necessary woodworking equipment to do custom work; once completed, a closet is then taken into a client's home and assembled in the kitchen or bedroom. Employee #1 was using a bench saw to cut a piece of wood when his fingers contacted the blade, amputating his index, middle, and ring fingers to the middle knuckle. Employee #1 had removed the saw's guard before the accident, exposing the blade.
