Employee's fingers amputated by circular saw

Employee #1, a carpenter, was using a power-driven circular saw to cut a sheet of plywood supported on two sawhorses. He was holding the saw in his right hand and was using his left hand to ascertain the edge of the guide. The saw guard was pushed back and he amputated two of the fingers on his left hand.
