Investigation Summary
Employee #1 was inspecting the installation of sheer panels with his crew leader, when the crew leaded left to order more material. The crew leader returned to find Employee #1 on the ground. Employee #1 had fallen 26 ft. Employee #1 had been attached to a fall protection point and was wearing a full body safety harness when the crew leader left. Employee #1 was working in an area well away from the fall point. Employee #1 was still wearing the safety harness with its attached positioning lanyard when he was found on the ground and the fall protection attachment point was undamaged. The employee suffered multiple fractures and was hospitalized.
