Driver injured when struck by falling material

On April 24, 2003, Employee #1, a driver, was directing the loading of rejected strongwalls unto his truck at a residential townhouse construction project. Another worker, using a Gradall 544B forklift, tried to pick up two loaded pallets on the truck bed at the same time to relocate them. The strongwalls shifted, some fell off the truck and struck Employee # 1's right leg. He was hospitalized for leg and ankle fractures.
