Employee Fractures Hip in Fall from Lift Gate

On December 24, 2007, Employee #1 was moving a hand truck loaded with approximately 200 pounds of produce. Employee #1 tripped on the lift gate causing the load to throw him off the lift gate. Employee #1 fell 2 ft then the load fell on top of him. Employee #1 fractured the femur bone in his right hip. Employee #1 was hospitalized for 30 hours.
