Employee Is Injured When Struck and Pinned by Framed Wall

On October 12, 2004, Employee #1 and 5 carpenters were framing two walls. As Employee #1 and the other carpenters raised one of the walls, that measured 10 feet tall by 94 feet long, for securing, the wall fell. Employee #1 was struck by the falling wall and was pinned underneath. Employee #1 was taken to UC Davis Medical Center, where he was hospitalized and treated for fractured ribs, a fractured leg, and other serious crushing injuries.
