Employee's fingers crushed in printing press nip point

On March 1, 1995, Employee #1, a press operator of Westprint, was operating a Flexopress printing press that prints on plastic bags that are used to store vegetables. Employee #1 was attempting to adjust the printing plate on a 6 in. diameter plate cylinder with a 6 in. long roller when his hand became caught between the plate cylinder and the 32 in. diameter central impression drum.
