Employee injures back in fall from equipment

On June 6, 1994, Employee #1, who had one year of experience, was relocating a diesel-powered screen at a quarry crushing plant. This was a regular monthly work assignment. Employee #1 admitted that he climbed onto the slowly moving equipment, slipped, and fell, sustaining back injuries. Employee #1 stated he was aware at the time that what he was doing contravened the employer's safety program.
