Investigation Summary
Employee #1, a truck driver working for D & R Transportation, was picking K rail off the side of a highway using a Grove 35 ton hydraulic truck crane, derated to 14 1/2 tons. When Employee #1 swung the crane over the truck to put the K rail on the flatbed, the crane tipped over on its side, pinning Employee #1 inside the cab. There were no serious injuries. Employee #1 was in the hospital, but only for observation.
