BURN - ELECTRICAL FAULT IN PANELBOARD

Two electricians were working on a 480-volt, 4000-ampere panelboard. The circuit breaker had been locked out in the trip position. At some point during the work, the circuit breaker closed and energized the panelboard. An electrical fault occurred, and the ensuing electric arc burned both employees. They were hospitalized with second- and third-degree burns.
