Investigation Summary
On July 25, 2007, Employee #1 was changing a tire on a tractor pulled water pump. The pump was located on the bank of a water canal. The dirt on the canal was not stable. It was sandy and somewhat loose. Employee #1 moved the pump to the best location he could, put an air jack under the frame, and lifted it up. He was going to put a second jack under it, to stabilize the pump. He went to pull the air hose off of the first jack and it slipped on the frame. The jack post hit him causing an injury (not specified) to his forehead. Employee #1 was taken to Fresno Community Hospital in Fresno, California; but he was not hospitalized.
