Employee Killed When Struck By Truck

At approximately 12:20 p.m. on May 23, 2003, Employee #1, a gate checkpoint inspector, was working at checkpoint Number 5 at the Stockton Facility. He began processing an inbound load by entering the seal information using a handheld unit. The truck that was next in line (CSF truck Number 15) rolled past the designated stop area, striking the gate and pinning Employee #1 between the trailer and the tractor. He died at the scene.
