Investigation Summary
On July 30, 2003, Employee #1, a journeyman carpenter was nailing a framed side wall top plate to a framed garage wall top plate. While Employee #1 was standing on the 4-in. nominal top plates of the two framed walls, the bottom of the garage wall slipped off the foundation. Employee #1 fell 9 ft to the ground and sustained a fractured neck. He was hospitalized.
