EMPLOYEE PARTIALLY AMPUTATES TWO FINGERS IN PASTA MACHINE

Employee #1 was employed full-time as a pasta processor, filling orders. Employee #1 was cleaning a pasta press machine with the door that guarded the point of operation mechanically opened, and the machine running. While doing so, the employee caught his fingers between the upward motioned kneading rollers and the ingredients' feedpoint, and amputated the ends of two fingers. Employee #1 was treated at a local hospital for his injuries and released.
