Employee's fingers amputated in chain and sprocket

At approximately 2:10 p.m. on May 22, 1999, Employee #1, an equipment lubricator employed by the Mission Foods Corporation, was removing excess lubricants from a rotating chain and sprocket assembly. The first digits of the index and middle fingers on his right hand were amputated. Employee #1 was transported by paramedics to the Chino Valley Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
