Employee #1 struck by cow sustained massive head injurues

At or about 9:00 p.m. on October 6, 1999, Employee #1 came to the dairy at the start of work to milk the cows. At or about 2:00 a.m. on October 7, 1999, Employee #1 left the milk barn and went to the "Close-Up Corral" to help or check to calve the cows. At or about 3:00 a.m., a coworker found Employee #1 lying unconscious in the SE part of the Close-Up Corral. After Cow Number 8264 delivered a calf, she became very aggressive and struck Employee #1 with her head around the neck and head areas. Employee #1 sustained massive head trauma injuries. Employee #1 was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California and died on October 8, 1999.
