Employee sustained fracture when tractor rolled-over

On June 19, 2001, Employee #1 was assigned to spray weeds on another part of the ranch. He was pulling the spray rig behind a Massey Ferguson Tractor. Employee #1 was traveling along a water canal when he started having problems with towing the spray rig. The left front wheel of the tractor veered off to the left and caught the edge of the canal. The tractor started rolling-over fast down the bank and threw Employee #1 off. He landed at the bottom of the canal and the tractor landed on top of him. Employee #1 sustained fracture of the pelvis and was hospitalized.
