Investigation Summary

Investigation Nr: 170157911
Event: 12/12/1994
Employee injured during movie setup of coaster ride

Employee #1 was setting up the next shot for the film "Three Wishes." This called for a camera to be mounted in front of a roller coaster car to film the ride while the roller coaster was in motion. Employee #1 had already ridden the car three times that night but he decided to take the short ride again to determine how the shot would look. The car he was in did not have the camera. While the ride was in motion, a part of the support member of the track loosened and struck Employee #1 in the face. Employee #1 suffered lacerations to the mouth and lips, a fractured eye socket, and other facial injuries.
