Employee injured in fall to floor

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on November 2, 1992, Employee #1, of Beverly's Fabric, Inc., was talking to coworkers at the same time she started to walk toward her work area. Employee #1 either slipped on a corn husk or tripped over the 20 in. diameter basket sitting on the floor next to shelves in the walkway. (Most witnesses said that she tripped over the basket filled with Indian corn.) Employee #1 landed on her knee and broke her kneecap, requiring hospitalization for four days. Because the floor was not free of obstructions, a serious injury resulted. A citation was issued accordingly.
