Employee injured as aerial lift falls to street

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on August 15, 1994, Employee #1 was removing and disconnecting non-energized electrical equipment while working from a Gene-Lift at a height. The Gene-Lift fell backward onto the street below. Employee #1 sustained multiple injuries upon striking the ground, including a broken right wrist, a broken right elbow, and a rib fracture. Employee #1 was transferred to Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The employer was cited for serious violations.
