Employee dies after fall to pavement

At approximately 2:20 p.m. on September 10, 1994, Employee #1, a senior lot manager for the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association in the Hollywood Bowl, was at the main gate of the Bowl. He was monitoring the activities of two coworkers assigned to the gate, and was sitting on a metal chair at the curb chatting with them. The two coworkers moved away and momentarily turned their backs on him. When they turned back again, Employee #1 appeared to lose consciousness and fell from his chair, striking his head on the pavement. Paramedics were called and Employee #1 was transported to a local hospital, where he died from natural causes.
