Investigation Summary
Employee #1 was working as a handler at Los Angeles County Airport on the flight line routing cargo containers. Two tugs were sitting side by side with trains of trailers containing air cargo boxes on them. Employee #1 was standing between the tugs when one driver started to move. The driver mistakenly thought that the train was disconnected from his tug. As he moved forward and turned, Employee #1 was pinned in between the tugs and received a compound fracture of her leg.
