Employee pinches fingers in packaging machine

Employee #1, of Mixpak, Inc., was operating a packaging machine when the machine jammed. She stopped the machine and opened the enclosure guard. She reached into the machine to re-insert the packaging material and the blade pusher pinched and lacerated her fingers. Due to inertia, there is a time delay between the opening of the guard and the stopping of the machine. The employer was given notice of this delay.
