Investigation Summary
On May 24, 2005, an employee was helping to install two by eight truss boards on the new barn. He was being moved around the site in the man basket. While riding in the basket, the employee squatted down to pick up a nail gun off the floor of the man basket. At that moment the zoom boom forklift hit a depression in the ground and the employee bounced out of the side of the basket on to the ground, approximately 10 ft., causing his injury. The employee was hospitalized and treated for left leg fracture.
