Investigation Summary
On November 20, 2001, Employee #1, a farm worker at Cloverdale dairy, was moving a batch of cows into the milk barn to milk them. Among the herd of cows was a bull. It was not uncommon for a bull to be mixed in with the cows as they were moved from the outside stables to the milk barn. As Employee #1 was moving the cows in to the milk barn, the bull became agitated. The bull turned on Employee #1, rammed him, and knocked him to the ground. Employee #1 suffered broken ribs and a broken arm. He was taken to Hanford Community Hospital for emergency treatment on his ribs and arm.
