Investigation Summary
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on July 29, 1998, Employee #1, of Grimmway Farms, Inc., was applying grease to a moving chain when his right hand became caught in the chain and sprocket drive. He suffered a partial amputation of four fingers and was taken to a local hospital in Bakersfield, CA, before being transferred and admitted to Davis Medical Center in San Francisco, CA.
