Employee's hand burned by splashing hot asphalt

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on January 27, 1993, Employee #1, of Roger's Roofing, was preparing a roof for the application of tar emulsion. He was carrying a bucket of the hot tar when the bucket struck an object. The hot tar splashed on Employee #1's right hand, which resulted in a burn injury for which he was hospitalized.
