Employee fractures ankle in fall from milk crate

At 5:30 a.m. on December 18, 1990, Employee #1, of The Vons Company, Inc., was standing on a milk crate instead of a step stool while stocking grocery store shelves. When the milk crate, which was standing on end, slipped, he fell and fractured his right ankle.
