Employee's finger lacerated by mower blade

Employee #1 was helping a coworker mow the lawn. The coworker raised the left mower reel, and Employee #1 removed the hanging grass catcher to empty the accumulated cuttings. The coworker then heard him scream and got off the mower to investigate. Employee #1 sustained lacerations to his finger when it became entangled in the mower blade. Employee #1 elected not to participate in the accident investigation.
