Worker Amuptates finger

At approximately 9:15 p.m. on September 18, 2000, a worker working at the San Bernardino Steel Corp sustained a serious amputation injury of his left little finger while operating a "HAUGEN, Model Number 10914", portable Mag Drill. The worker was in the process of drilling holes on an I-beam by pulling the Mag Drill's operating lever downward with his right hand while holding a rag in his gloved left hand. The cloth rag became entangled with the revolving drill bit causing amputation of his left little finger. The employee was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda CA.
