Investigation Summary
At about 8:00 a.m. on March 23, 2000, an employee was operating a delta redial arm saw in the fan coil department. He attempted to pull a 1-in. by 6-in. by 8-ft-long piece of wood through an opening of the screen and shield guard when his right glove came in contact with the moving saw blade. He suffered an amputated right index finger and lacerated right ring finger. He was treated for his injuries and released.
